The Nord-East region is the biggest region from Romania as population (3,3 mil inhabitants – 18%) and surface (36,850 Km² – 15 %). The agri-food sector has the highest share at regional employment (39,46%), agriculture being a traditional occupation of the region’s inhabitants. Fields of expertise in the agri-food area that can be considered niche and which ensure the transmission of the results from the research-development innovation activity in production, supported by the local actors in the process of entrepreneurial discovery are:

he North-East Regional Development Agency is an NGO of public utility, established in 1999, being a generator of social and economic development in the NE Region of Romania. The NE RDA develops strategies, attracts resources, identifies and implements financing programs and offers services for stimulating sustainable economic development, partnerships, and entrepreneurial spirit.
