The city of Vic, Spain, successfully hosted the 11th Annual Conference of the ERIAFF Network, held from April 7 to 9, 2025. The event, a result of the collaboration between ERIAFF (European Regions for Innovation in Agriculture, Food and Forestry), CongrĂ©s Bit, and the Government of Catalonia, focused on “Transformative Innovation: Circular Bioeconomy for Rural Development and Resilient Landscapes.”
The conference served as a crucial platform for discussion and exchange among regions, experts, and policymakers from across Europe. Participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into topics related to the circular bioeconomy and its application for rural development and the creation of resilient landscapes.
The event brought together over 200 participants, including regional policymakers, agri-food and forestry producers, and researchers, who worked on the role of regions in future European Union strategies, focusing especially on resilience and the bioeconomy. Discussions centered on trends, innovations, and projects in the field of bioeconomy, highlighting the crucial role of transformative innovation in addressing the current and future challenges of the agricultural, food, and forestry sectors.
The collaboration among ERIAFF, Congrés Bit, and the Government of Catalonia created a dynamic and stimulating environment, fostering the exchange of knowledge and the building of strategic partnerships to promote sustainability and resilience across Europe.
