Description of the aims and goals of WG\u2019s activities <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Europe\u2019s high-quality and extremely efficient horticultural sector provices innovative solutions crucial to Europes sustainability and health goals. The Plants working group is collaborating to ensure that the importance of the sector is recognized in the Green Deal Strategies. Our regions are facing similar challenges and we look for collaborative support and opportunities.<\/p>\n

Challenges to address <\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are several challenges that we aim to\u00a0 and gain support for at European level. Tackling effects of climate change on horticulture through European opportunities, promoting that circular production policies should be broader than organic farming, promoting the importance of sharing and open data for improving high-tech production, advocating for smart logistics and enabling breeding technology to advance our crop resilience. These challenges and opportunities are central to the approach of the plants working group.<\/p>\n
