European Network of Forested Regions
The ERIAFF Working Group on Forestry is called the “European Network of Forested Regions”.
It is a group of regions committed on cooperating in the development of forest policies at European and regional levels.
It is also a platform to provide information and coordinate the feedback to upcoming EU initiatives relevant for regions interested in forests and the forest sector.
Initial areas of interest are:
- Bioeconomy regional strategies and regional action plans, in connection
- Wood mobilization, and specially through the ROSEWOOD project
- Non Wood Forest Products Mobilization, and specially through the INCREDIBLE project
The Group is also interested in forest risk protection, and specially on fire prevention
